(iSY TKMIfiUAL'II. —I'IiKSS ASSOCIATION.) CIIIUSTCHUIICH, Trilby. On Wednesday lust, nil explosion occurred 011 board the Wareatn, liic;ii arrived in Lyttelton to-day, with Greymnuth coal. Wlion off Cape Farewell, Samuel Taylor, a seaman, went down the hatch and struck a match. An explosion of pas followed, and lie was blown over the combines of the hatch on to the deck. He was fearfully burned on the face. The force of the explosion was so great;tbat two hatches were blown overboard. Taylor is progressing favourably.
