LATEST WELLINGTON NEWS.
(BY TELEGRAPH. —PKKSS ASSOCIATION - ). Wellington, Monday. The Auckland schooner Kenilworth, bound from Oaniaru to Grey mouth with general produce, was caught in a southerly gale on Friday, and lost some of her spars. The captain took her into Queen Charlotte's Sound, and anchored, but if the Waitapu had not hove in sight and towed her out of danger, she would probably have been lost, as she had got within sixty feet of the rocks. Logan, of Napier, now on his way Home will arrange fixtures for the New Zealand footballers'team with the Rugby Uni»n. No difficulty is found by the promoters in obtaining suitable men, plenty of good pl.iyors being available.
