He hud heard several complaints about No. 1 bath not being very clean. Several ladies had been complaining that tho bottom of tha bath was not so nice as it should be. Attention was also drawn to the fact that smoking, notwithstanding the notices, goes on to a great extent in the Octagon, and it was agreed to instruct the caretakers to acquaint the police, if the practice cannot be otherwise put a stop to. Mr Ilott supposed the question of planting in the Domain would bo considered, and it was mentioned in this connection that the caretaker had done well with the lawn extension. With reference to No. 1 bath, Mr Ahier moved that a barrel and pipe be sunk as an experimental reservoir.—Seconded by Mr Ilott and carried. The question raised about No. 5 bath would have to stand over in the meantime for want of funds. It was left in the chairman's hands to get a rough estimate from the Engineer (Mr Purchas) of the works to be done, viz. : The finishing .>f No. f> bath ; excavating pipes in connection with No. (i bath, and the extension of the lawn.—Mr Lipscy, who had been deputed by the Board to interview the Minister of Public Works while at the Thames, re Domain matters, said he had seen Col. Eraser, who had assured him that tho questions (which are already before the Government) would be fixed up as soon as possible, and that was the reason he had ni;t troubled tho Minister.—This concluded th'a business.
