Oakes, who is leaving the cnlonj , , has instructed Mr John Knox to sell the whole of his furniture and effects on Wednesday, May 15th, at his residence. A large draught of bullocks from Te Akiiu, and fat and store cattle of all descriptions from all parts of tho district will bo offered by Mr J. McNicol at his Ohaupo sale on Tuesday, May 21st. After tho cattle sale, p largo sale of sheep will be held, when over 4.500 head will be put up. A large consignment of sheep from Loch Inver, Runanga, will be offered by Mr McNicol in conjunction with Mr W. J. Hunter,
