TAUWHARE SPORTS.

The Tamvhare local sports were very successful. Owing lo the volunteer encampment and other counter attractions, the attendance of visitors from other districts was limited ; yet there were quite as many people as last year. The weather was favourable, and everything passed off very well. Dancing was kept up in the schoolroom till 4 o'clock on Tuesday morning. All competitors for races were local men. For the Cup there were 15 entries, and for the Flat Race, 120 yds., 11l entries.
