Mkssiw A. 13t:cKi..\NDASi) Sons' Weekly Kki'OßT. —At tho Haymarket on Friday last, meadow hay brought from 2s to 3s (id : ualen sheaves, 3s to Is 3d ; chaff, 3s Gd per cwt; oats, from 2s 3d to 2s !ld ; cocksfoot sued, 2s yd to 3s (Id the bushel. Horses wiu't! in full numbers, and at better value. The 1.1 unbroken horses from Motutapu ranged from £5 IDs to £9 15a, averaging £7 J"h.' Ireful broken in horses brought from £7 to £l."i; a pair of carriago horses, £30 ; buggies £G 12s Gd, £11, and £3G 15s respectively ; and by private sale a farm of 500 acres in the Waiuku district at £3 an acre. At the hido and skin sale on Tuesday both hides and skins were in greater quantity than usual. Trices were fully sustained. Ox hides brought from 3d to 4nd; cow hides, 2d to 2jd; calf skins, 3d to 4d per lb; bones, 4s (id ; tallow, 13s to 18s the cwt; pelts, 8d to Is 5d ; sheep skins, Is Gd to 3s 2d each ; wool, yd to 7d the lb. At tho cattle sale held at I'ukekohe on Monday more than the usual number of stock were yarded. Cows forward in calf were in demand at higher values; other descriptions of cattle at late values. The farm section advertised was not sold; £G an acre was offered for it, and it was reserved at £9. At Reinuera on Thursday, dairy cattle near calving were in demand at fully last week's value, backward cows were at comparatively low values. Eat cattle in full supply ; many of nnusual weight were lower in price than last week, from Is to 2s the lOOlbs. Prices ranged from 12s for good cows to l">s for choice medium weight steers ; light waight and heavy oxen were not above 14s, and inferior cows lis the lOOlbs. Sheep and lambs in short supply, advanced in price from Is to 2s each; wethers brought from lis to 14s ; ewes, 8s (id to 12s ; lambs, Ss (id to lis Gd ; pigs, abundant; well-bred porkers brought from ]7s to 25s ; coarse pigs, from !)s to 18s each.
Mksshs Hunter and Nolan's Weekly JlKPOiir.—Grain, seeds, horsefeed : Thcro lias been an adequate supply and steady demand for grain. Grass and clover seeds have found purchasers. Oaten chaff has been in good demand, but is scarce. Carrots sold readily. We quote: Feed oats, 3s to 3s 3d per bushel; Tartarian, 2s 3d to 3s ; maize, 2s !)d to 3s 3d per bushel; fowl wheat, :>•) 3d ; milling, -is ; bran, £5 10s to £(> per ton ; chit fF, £3 to £3 10s per ton ; carrots, £1 10s to £1 15s per ton. Horses : Rather a large number have been brought forward, and changed hands at a slightly advanced value fur all descriptions,and there remained an unsatisfied demand for good upstanding horses for both saddle and draught. A good number were entered for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday. Competition was good throughnut the sale, and almost without exception lots were cleared. We quote : Hacks, £5 10s to 61110s ; light harness horses, £0 10s to £13 ; draught. £8 to £12 10s, Wool, hides and skins: The quantities pitched were rather larger than usual, and there was brisk competition at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and heavy ox hides readied 3d per lb ; medium, 3Ad : cow, to 3Ad ; calfskins, 3Ad to 5d per lb ; sheepskins, 2s to 3s (id each ; pelts, Is scl to Is lid each ; tallow, 12s to 14s per cwt. Cattle : The number brought forward has scarcely been up to the average, and for good dairy cows and fat beasts there remained an unsatisfied demand at priccs in favour of the vendor. There were a good many empty pens at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday. Dairy cows at their profit were keenly competed for. Stores were slow of sale, and for fat beasts there was steady bidding. Kat oxen sold relatively higher than cow beef. At Papakura on Wednesday thero was a cood muster, and brisk demand at Newmarket values for botli dairy and sturostock. We quote : Dairy cows, from £4 to £7 10s ; backward springers, £3 to £4; dry cows, £1 to £117s 6d; calves, 10s to IDs; IS months old steers, £1 5s to £1 15s ; grown steers, £2 to £2 15s ; fat beasts, some averages were — steers. £1 15s to £4 l"s 0J £5 12s (id, £0, £fi 2s (id ; ows, £2 l!)s £3 (is 3d, £3 7s 6d, £3 10s, £' ! 2.i (Id Slieep were far short of requirements at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday. Wethers sold at from lis to 13s (id each ; ewes, 7s 3d to 10s ; lambs, Ss Gd to !ls Od. Pigs were scarce; £2 us was given for barrow pigs; smaller sorts from 10s to 28's each; coarse small stores sold low.

Butter : Now Zealand, Sd to Is Id; locally made, Is to Is 3d. Cheese : Now Zealand, (i-ld to <Sd. Bacon : New Zealand, !Ud ; New Zealand hams, lid to Is. There is a good do mnnd both in Sydney and Adelaide for Now Zealand seed wheat. Values, however, havo not changed since previous quotations.
