The Queen of Wurteml>urg had a narrow escape at Monaco, whilst driving. The horses took fright, fell over a precipice, and were killed. The Marquis of Londonderry highly praises Mr Balfour's action, and says Ireland has enormously improved. Romnania is pushing' forward her defences. Eifteen men have refused tho Governorship of the Cape. M. Itocliefort's son has committed suicide in Algeria. Tho Washington Cmtcnary has been held with imposing ceremonies. Three hundred war vessels and merchantmen escorted President Jlarrison round New York harbour, and there was a march past of GOOO troops.
