AGRICULTURAL RETURNS.
Wellington, Monday. The agricultural statistics of the colony for the year 188S have bien completed. The areas under crop and their estimated gross produce are as follows:—Wheat, 3(i2,103 acres 8,770,241) bushels ; oats, 84,505 acres for green food or hay, 37I>,18!) acres for grain, estimated yield 10,i)75,i;45 bushels ; barley, 45,027 acres, 1,402,537 bushels ; potatoes, 21i,302 acres 133.507 tons ; sown grass (for hay), 50,542 acres 71,05.8 tons.
