Tin Waikato Times Office, Friday. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Messrs A. Bucklandand Sons' Weekly Kepoiu',—At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cows in full number. Those of good quality at calving maintained late values, medium quality at lower prices. Several unsold ; those sold ranged from £'3 10s to j.'G 10s; backward cows from 40s each. Store cattle, dull of sale, at lower values. Fiit cattle maintained last week's prices, ranging up to Ills the 3001b. Some averages were : 46 steers from West Coast, A!li (Is; from Waikato, 14 steers, £0 10s ; 9, £5153; 7, £5 10s; 8, £5 5s ; 16, £3 16s. From Kaipara : (S, £6 ss. From Awitu : 10 at £5 ; 24, £4 15s ; 9 cows £3 lis respectively. Sheop in moderate number, and sold irregularly. Wethers were lower about Gd eocl). Ewes of good quality kept their late values, but inferior ewes were lower. Wethers ranged from fls t» 13s ; ewes, 5s Cd to lis (id each. Lambs in short supply, and kept their values. Pigs plentiful. Well-fattened pigs sold well ; heavy weights, from 31s to 495; porkera, 1-I.> to 21s each, but young store pigs were low, fromS sto (Js each. Calves .abundant.; sold well throughout. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Weekly REroKT.—Horse feed, seed, grain : The doin md has been steady for all. Oaten chaff lias been in brisker demand, and the seed market lias been active. The demand for oats has boon in excess of the supply. Wo quote : Feed oats, 2s 9d to 3s ; Tartarian, 2s (id to 2s 9d per bushel; chaff, £3 10s per ton ; bran, £5 10s per ton ; carrots, 35s to £2 per ton. The ordinary weekly horse sale at the Durham Yards was not held last week on account of the holidays, but tiiere was a sale of blood stock held at Green Lane on Thursday, which has been already reported. Wool, hides and skins: There was no auction sale at the Durham Yards on Tuesday also on account of the holidays. A few lots sold privately, and there remains a strong demand, particularly for heavy ox hides. Cattle: The holidays have as usual shortened the supply, and for dairy and fat stock there remained an uniiatisKcd demand at fully the previous week's values. There was a small muster at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday. I 'airy cows at their profit sold at £7, and one lot was reserved at £8. There was but alight alteration in the value of fat beasts, although the supply was limited, but the tendency \\\is upwards, particularly for top sorts, which reached His per IOOIbs. Sheep at Newmarket on Tuesday were scarce, but really prima wethers were yarded, and for insulliciently fatted and ewes prices were the same as the previous week. Lambs woro scarce, and sold at 7s cacli. l'igs : Very few yarded.
