Three ii-omen were killed by falling walls, and ' hive others badly hurt. The damage is stunated at £SO,OOO. April 23. Further particulars of the fire at the H.jou theatre show that it broke out in h- dress circle. The theatre was speedily d< Kcroyi'd, but, the Palace Hotel, in the front family 3i )tn ke street, was saved. Mr VV. Marshall's theatrical printer, pre'tiiaes adjoining were also burned down. Japtain Parsons, of the East Melbourne Mre tirigade, and a man named Williams ' .vere killed by a falling wall, and firemen Penn, Banks, Scott, Monies, Lieutenant Thomas, and Constable CoiVey were seriously injured. The loss is estimated at £40.000. The theatre was insured for £15,000.
