THE CAMP.
l'O THE EDITOR. Silt, —I wish to publicly thank the residents of Hamilton, on behalf of the Te Awamutu Cavairy, for the hospitable manner in which they treated our troop. Our rations were excellent, both in quality and quantity ; also those of tho Waiuku troop, Mounted Infantry and the Artillery desire to express their thanks for the same. We had an unlimited supply of good forage. Both Mr Coates and Capt. Reid rendered every assistance to make us comfortable. I have been in mauy camps, but I must caudidly admit this one was tlu best so far as rations woro concerned. Capt. Robertson, the Quartermaster, was also most kind iu supplying us with our rations. Generally speaking, the rule is to make all you can out. of the volunteers, but this encampment has been the exception. I hope wo may all livo to meet again in catnp in Hamilton. —I am, &c., H. Rocue, Quartermaster, Te Awamutu Cavalry.
