THE EASTER ENCAMPMENT.
Tin: fatigue party will arrive in Hamilton by the, ordinary train to-day, and will proceed at once to tho camp to make all ready for the main body of the troops that will reach their destination at midnight. The Hamilton Light Infantry will parade at 0 o'clock to-night, and proceed to the camping ground, where guard will be mounted. This company will march to the railway station, to meet the visitors. \\ e believe about thirty-five of the Te Awamutu Cavalry .will take part in the encampment, arriving on Friday morning. We have not heard ynt what plan of campaign has been drawn up. The Camus Club performance will take place on Saturday night at tho Oddfellow's Hall. The committee deom it very essential to provide all the amusements possible to keep so large a body of men out of harm s way. On Sunday Church parade will be the order of the day, and no doubt all the places of worship will bo visited by detachments composed of their respective adherents. Col. Forbe's lecture on Cawnpore will provide Monday night's entertainment, before the troops take their departure for homo. IBY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORBKSL'ONDENT. | Auckland, Last Niglit. Thk Quarter-Master has received instructions to proceed to Hamilton early tomorrow morning in order to complete the preparations for the arrival of the volunteers. It is understood that a guard of honour for the Governor of about 100 all told will be sent down by special train on Sunday night, and that no other volunteers will be allowed to leavo the camp. About seventeen members of the South Franklin Mounted Infantry and thirty or thirty-five of the YVaiukn Cavalry are expected to participate in the Hamilton encampment.
