THE BEER PROSECUTIONS.

Tiihek charges against the Junction Brewery Company and three against Owen McCnrdle, Secretary of the Company, for neglecting to enter certain material received and purchased for the production of beer, were heard to-day. Mr Robinson, R.M., inflicted a fine of tT>O, with costs, in each information, and intimated that had the whole of the charges been laid against the company he would have inflicted the maximum penalty it! each case. The forfeiture of the plant was ordered. It is understood the confiscation of the Junction Brewery and plant will not be enforced by the Uoverninent as the fines have been very heavy.
