VOLUNTEER ENCAMPMENT.
A xusriiEit of the townspeople of Hamilton hold a meeting in The Waikato Ti.mks Building last night to decide on what steps be taken to prepare for the Faster manumvres of the volunteers to be held in Hamilton. Mr •). Ivnox occupied the chair and Mr G. Hdgecumb >. was elected secretary and treasurer. It was decided to apply to the Domain Board lo place L its 111 and 20 at the disposal of the troops. A subscription list was opened and over £32 was subscribed to be devoted towards entertaining the volunteers. It was also resolved to request the Borough Council to cleat and grub the laud ab Hamilton Fast and prepare it for the encampment. A hearty vote ot thanks was given to Captain R;id for his exertiaus in the selection of Ui'miltou for the encampment.
