Among other matters the report touched upon tho falling off in lliu number of subscribers and apparent lack of interest on tho part of the public, and of ihe contemplated removal of tho bnilding granted for a library to tho new sight. The following are the commi I tee electod :--ftevs. It. (4. Koler and S. (irifliths, and Messrs Andrew, ijiown, Hiirgess, Mundeuo and Teasd.'de. Messrs Walton and Weslney were elected auditors. A long discussion followed on tho removal and permanent establishment of the library building, upon which there was great unanimity. Special donations of money and assistance in inoviug the bui'dina: were promised. A vote of thanks to Messrs Coulthard and Craham and others who have given special donations were carried, and the secretary was instructed to communicate these thanks to them by letters. Mr Holer was elected chairman for the current year, Mr Oarley was temporarily re-appointed secretary, treasurer and librarian. It was resolved to make immediate arrangements for removing the library, and organising a reading-room, etc., the committee to meet again on the old April (to-morrow).
