The advertisement referred 10 some recent divorce proceedings in which Dr. Rose was co-respondent. The damages are laid at £5 000. Hobakt, March 27. During the stay of the s.s. Wairarapa, Sir \V. Jen-ois inspected the defences, and was highly pleased with the Maxim gam Brisbane, March 27. Splendid rains have fallen in many of thn pastoral districts, which have greatly benefited from the downfall.
