GROWN LANDS SALE.

[BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORBESPONDENT. | Auckland, Wednesday. Applications were received at the Crown Lands Office to-day for rural lands open for sale or selection, either for cash, deferred payments, or on perpetual lease at the option of the selector. There was a large number of applications. Among them were the following of Waikato interest :— Te Aroha : Block 9, section 100, 41a. lr. Bp., at 20s, three applicants; section 108, 33a. 3r. 8p„ at Bs, four applicants. Taupiri: Section 258, 50 acres, at 10s, one applicant. The time for receiving applications is limited to 4.30 p.m. to-day, and 11 a.m. to-morrow. A ballot will be taken for sections for which there are more than one application.
