THE WHEAT MARKET. Whiting on the prospccts of the wheat trads, the Miller (London), of January 14, has the following There has been very little movoment in the markets of tho past week. The main news is the suspension of shipments, from frost, in tho chief Russian ports. Odessa is beleaguered by ice several feet in thickness, and temporarily all shipments are interiupted. The other news affecting the wheat trade is the report of rain during harvest in South America, and drought in parts of India. From tho present outlook shipments of wheat fur the next three months will be only on a very small scale, and current supplies will have to be drawn from the bulk afloat, and from the good reserves accumulated in granaries. At present current offers are ample for the current demand Freights are stiffening up, and so give a firmness to the situation that might otherwise bo wanting. Distinctly apart from all other supplies tho Englic.ii wheat supply is offored still on very low terms, and if the quality is poor, as is also the American wheat sample, yet the latter is held at about 3s per quarter above the views of European markets."
