(by telegraph.—riißss association). OAMARU, Friday. A man named Dunecn Gilchrist, was charged at the R.M. Court, with attempting to shoot a farmer named John McDonald, living at Otepopo. No evidence was taken, the accused being reinauded. WELLINGTON, Friday. At the Government land sale, out of £15,572 worth of laud disposed of £12,580 was for perpetual leases. The Manawatu Railway Company offer 54,000 acres to-day for sale.
