SUICIDE OF PIGOTT

It is now asserted that Pigott, under the name of Roland Ponsonlif, was arrested in an hotel in the city, whereupon he asked leave to go to his bedroom to fetch his hat, and taking a revolver from a bag which he had with him shot himself c\e*(.], the bullet entering his mouth, and death being almost instantaneous. On Tuesday last Pigott wired to Mr Soames, one of the Times solicitors, asking hitu to forward what he h.ul promised, and this was understood to mean money. Mr Soames at once informed the police of Pigott's whereabouts.
