THE PARNELL CASE.

(By Electric Telijckai'ii—Copyright.) London, March ]. Befork the Times-Parnell Commission to-day Messrs Lewis, Labouchere, McCarthy, Campbell, and Sala gave evidence in support of the confession ina.de by Pigott. Sir Charles Russell applied for an interim report regarding the letters. Sir R. E. Webster strongly objected to this. Sir James Hannonannounced that the Commissioners would give their decision on the point on Thursday next. Sir 11. E. Webster then proceeded with the general charges, and submitted evidence in support of his allegation that Patrick Ford, editor of the Irish World, had remitted large sums of money to the Land League for the purpose of promoting outrages. Mr Parnell has stated that the expenses in defending the charges against him had amounted to £50,000. March 3. It is stated thas among Pigott's effects was found another confession in which he re-asserted the first batch of letters was genuine and the remainder forged. He also left a note book behind containing numerous interesting entries. Mr Parnell has been invited to the celebration of Mr Gladstone's golden wedding. The National Liberal Club intend to give a banquet to Mr Parnell, in commemoration, of his victory over the Times. The American press generally agree that the apology made by the Times for publishing the forged letters is .shamefully inadequate.
