At Remnei-a on Thursday, dairy cattle were at moderate values; store cattle sold freely; fat cattle scarcely maintained last week's values ; but good steers were steady at 15s ; inferior steers and cows, from .Ms to 12s per 100 lb ; fat calves plentiful, sold freely and were required. The goodwill and nlant of Mr Cutler's line of omnibus-- were disposed of in one line to Mr Guy at a satisfactory tiguie. A good many lots were submitted by auction at the I Unburn Yards on Friday. Spiing-cart-s and buggies were well competed for, and in most cases reserves were reached. An increased number of horse?, wire submitted, anil in most instances -ales were effected, but without any maiked change in value, and there remained an unsatisfied demnti;l for those of ft good stamp in hacks and light-harness-hoi-ses, but draught stock was sufficient for requirements. There was a spirited demand foralllots, and an advance was given for heavy ox hides on the whole, although the top price was no higher. Cattle; Average numbers have conic forward, and there has been a steady demand for all descriptions. Quito the usual number were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, and competition was good throughout the .-.ale, but there whs no change in the value of dairy and store .stock. Beef ranged from 13s to 17s per 1001b. Some averages of steers were £4 37s (id, €5, t's H)-, £5 15s, t:> 17s sd, £15, £15 12s (id ; cows, f3 10s, £3 14s, £3 11 is 3d, £3 1.7s lid, £4 2-1 lid. Sheep: Owing to no shipments coming forward scarcoly the usual number were penned at Newmarket on Tuesday, and a large proportion were owes, but were all purchased by the butcher at from lid to Is per head advance on the previous week's values. Lambs were in adequate numbers, and sold at from lis to 10s lid. Pigs ; Very few were yarded, consequently sales were no test of values, and there exists a demand for good stores, both in the fat and store class of medium weights.
