CHURCH MEETNIGS.

Xi;.\itUA\v.\ili.\. The annual meeting of the congregation of Holy Trinity Church, was held on .Sunday last, alter the evening service. The llev. .1. Haselden, organising clergyman, presided. The statement of accounts showed that after paying the ordinary expenses, and £0 10s, the: balance owing on the organ account, and £S ON 81 arrears owing for two or three years back, that there was a deficit of £7 17s od. This was considered satisfactory, as the current exposes had been mot, and £1.-1 Kis Nd paid besides. The chairman stated that no immediate appointment of a rusident clergyman would be made, and that until then the Home mission would continue to send a clergyman once a month. The chairman appointed Mr Dickeson as Ministers Warden, and .Mr B itham was elected People's Warden. The following gentlemen were elected as vestry : — Messrs Burnett, Corbet.t, Coombes, Bavies, Nicholson, llathborne, and Simpson. Mr Butcher was appointed auditor. It was agreed to contribute .t'2-1 to the Home Mission for the monthly service of the clergyman. Votes of thanks were passed to the lay reader, Mr(i. h\ Diokeson, and thesuperintondant of the Sunday School, Mr Coombes, and the teachers, for their valuable services to the church. The chairman stated that the service on Sunday, March ISth, would be taken by the Kev. 11. O'C, Biggs.

T.VLi'lui.—The annual meeting of the Anglican congregation was held after service on Sunday, Februrary 24th, tho Rev. J. Haselden presiding. The statement of accounts was considered very satisfactory. During tho year the Church had been shingled and the churchyard fenced and planted with trees. The Chairman appointed Mr .10. B. Cox Minister's warden, and Mr J. Edney was elected People's warden. Messrs Hall, Jackson and Walford were elected as vestrymen. A contribution at the rate of £12 per annum was promised for one monthly service from a clergyman of the Home Mission. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss White for her valuable services as organist.
