Defendant stilted he liad made over his properly at Tu Aroha to his wife in 1881 to protect his family from his creditors. She kept a number of cows. Hu only worked for her for his food and clothes, He did not make an offer to purchase a block of land at Galatea. The Court said defendant had no doubt taken this course to avnde his creditors, but he could not make an order. Case dismissed. W. V. Bell v. T. Habtnett.— Judgment .summons, £2 7s. It appears Lo y.uesiio "accused Head of stealing fruit and set on him with a stick. Tlis 71.A1. reprimnnded the accased, and fined him -"is and costs 30s, with a fortnight in which to pay the money, or 48 hours.
