He merely replied to a communication wliiuli he received from Canada. He accuses Dibbs of suggesting Sydney as the place at which to hold the Conference before the colonies had come to any decision. Brisbane, February 21. The crops in the D.irling Dowus district are a complete failure, in consequence of the drought. Al-kl.yide, February 21. At Lake Torrens to day a trial was made with a boat for which a patent has just bee:i secured. During the progress of the trial the boat, which had twenty persons on board, ovei turned, and all were p edpitated in the water. Many swain ashore, but a boy named Thomas, a man who has not been indentilied, and Usher, thu patentee, were drowned. Another boy is missing, and it is feared that he, along with several others, has been drowned.
