LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
(BY TELEGRAM—OWX CORKESPOXDEXT.) Auckland. Friday. Tun six Mormon missionaries who visited northern counties some six weeks ago, havo made a tour of all the native villages disseminating the principles of their faith. Steps are being taken to have Leman's Patent Lever Quartz Crushing Machine introduced on the goldlields of Auckland and Australia. Mr J. 11. Whiteford has been appointed agent. The steamor Richmond, which left for the South Sea Islands to-day, took neither arms nor ammunition fur Samoa, but otherwise no precaution was taken with the object of preventing a recurrence of Gorman bnuuee m ransacking cargo and insulting passengers. Four small boys wnre committed to-day for robbery on a system that weuld have done credit to the cleverest thiove.s.
