The Government states as a reason for declining to be oftieially represented at the Dunedin Exhibition, that the colony has lately spent excessive sums in exhibitions and thoy don't consider the JXmedin Exhibition of sufficient importance to warrant any further expenditure, it being of the nature of a piivato concetti. The Government is also influenced by the fact that New Zealand was not officially roprasenfed at the last South Australian Exhibition, l'robably, however, some of the largest manufacturers will solid exhibits.
