HAMILTON ROAD BOARD.
A spkci.-Ui meeting of tho Board was hold on Saturday lust, to consider the plan mid estimates or tho propped drainage works nn the .Stoke's Bush road. Present: Messrs Join's (chairman), Atkinson, and Maunder. Air Sandes having laid the plans and estimates before llivj meeting, said the cost would be about i>loo, and it the Uoard undertook the work, it would drain the whole of the swamp lands lying adjacent, and would be of groat benefit to the landowners on both sides who should bo asked to contribute to the c >st of the work. It was arranged that Mr Maunder should see the owners of the farms on tli3 proposed line of drain and ascertain what suppoit ho could get from them, it was resolved that Mr S-uidus should call for tenders for tho drain, tenders to be lvcri'-rel up to noon c>f Saturday, the L'l-i M ,i 1,, IS:-!'.), the matter of (.'ravelling th■.: I'ukuhii .swamp road, v.'a.s held user vur.ii tho uex 1 , meeting of the Board.
