The Waikato Times Office, Wednesday. AUCKLAND PRO DUCK MARKETS. Mu Ai.ex. Aitkkn's Market Report for the week ending 9th February.—Business brisk in all lines. Several alterations in value have taken place since my last report. Potatoes have advanced in valuo; and supply, although large, has not met requirements; but present values are not expected to rule more than another weok. For seed onion* there is a great demand, hut exporters refuse to give higher prices. For potato-onions there is no demand. Grain generally is dull: chaff sh>w of sale ; bran and sharps easier. Butter, fresh : The supply lias been in excess of demand, as, owing to the cooler state of the weather, much more has been sent in. Corned butter is dull. Cheese has mined more freely; tho hllllltlv has been large ; values unchanged. Orders are to hand for several tons of Waikato clover honey ; other kinds move slowly, Bacon and hams: Second • class lots low ; for tirstclass there is a good demand. Eggs: Good supply ; prices ruled high. In fruit there has been a very large quantity received. All realised fair values. Apples ruled low, and are not likely to improve until the poaches are done. Pears of good quality have sold well; sound plums have also commanded fair value. There has been u very largo supply of peaches. Lemons sold well. Poultry was entered in large numbers, and values are unchanged. All the pig pens were filled.
