MR FULTON BEFORE HIS CONSTITUENTS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —i'UESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunudin, Wednesday. Mr Fulton received a vote of confidence at Mosgiel. He said he would iisnisL in throwing additional responsibility on the local bodies, but would oppose any attempt to throw the whole burden of charitable aid 011 the land. From what he knew of the temper of the present Parliament there was not the slightest chance of ;i Land-tax being substituted for the Property-tax. He would support the extension of the franchise to women, and would strongly oppose any proposal to increase the number of members, but thought the country quota must receive further consideration. He supported the appointment of the Railway B'.iard, as the best under the circumstances, but thought Judge Ward's services should receive fair treatment. Me would oppose the sale of the railways.
