AccMiKNT Rhlikk Kuni).— A meeting of miners and others connected with the Accident Ueliof Fund he.ro, was held at the Public Hall, on Saturday evening. There was a very good attendance, and all present appeared to take a, lively interest in tho proceedings. Mr Konimerville accepted the chair, and Mr liecson read the rough minutes of the last meeting, which were cmliroied. It was stated, in auditing the accounts, a discreponcy of l!-i Us existed, and that the sum of £Ti3 (is 10J had been handed over by tho old trustees to Mr Jennings. The sum of £10 10s 2>l had been paid away. It was resolved to form a now committee of five, and the following were duly appointed: —Messrs Jennings, Jeffries, Sampson, S. G. Taylor and! 1 . Goldsworthy. It was also resolved that the duties of the new committee be to collect funds and cirry on tho fund towards its specified object," hut not cm the same lines as the previous committee had managed. Mr Sampson, sent , ., was elected convenor of meetings, and it was arranged that the next meeting will be held on Saturday, tho 2:j:d hist,, when the (.Id trustees will bo present and explain any matters which may require clearing up. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the meeting.
