COMUS DRAMATIC CLUB.

Gun readers that remember " Caste " "All that glitters not gold" and the ninny other excellent entertainments given liy this Club will bo glad to hear that " the Comiia "is once more to the fore and will shortly give an entertainment. Although the club has been doimailt for a somewhat lengthened period, it was fo.lt that such a recognized institution of the Waikalo must not be allowed to altogether die out. Accordingly a strong committed has b-'on got together—a now dill) re formed out of the ashes of the old one,—and all arrangements made for continuing the work so long and well carried out by the latter. If. is the ambition of the new club to maintain all the best traditions of the old by producing sound English comedy in the best style that careful training and preparation can enable amateurs to do. The club is entirely relilting and repainting the stage at the Oddfellow's Hall and providing new scenery and properties. The comedy of " Helping Hands " with the farce of the " Area Bell —of which a ptogratnme will appear in our next issue—will be shortly produced, and from our knowledge of past entertainments anil the careful preparations made, we have no hesitation in predicting that this entertainment of the Gonitis Club will be such as to delight all who I ove a really good dramatic performance- The committee of the new club are Dr. Kenny and Messrs Forbes, Davis, Oakes and Swnrhrick.
