HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY.

* The above company paraded on Tuesday evening last. There was a good attendance of all ranks, Captain Reid in command. After a short drill the annual meeting of the corps was held. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £10 10s (id at the end of last year, but several small accounts had still to be paid. The statement of assets and liabilities showed an excess of assets over liabilities of £30. On the proposition of Sergeant Burke, seconded by Private Deegan, the balancesheet was adopted. Bandsman H. Tristram, Corporal Alexander, Privates Hayes, R. Dellioar, and Hope were elected a finance committee for the ensuing year, and Lieut. Kirk, Sergeants Connolly and Hooper, Bandmaster Mettam, Bandsman Tristram, Corpl Alexander, and Private ¥. Hammond as the shooting committee. Captain Reid drew attention to the fact of the company's anniversary occurring next month, and hoped the members would consider in what manner it should be celebrated, and any suggestions would be considered at the next parade. Private H. Davis was promoted to lance-corporal, and Bandsman H. Tristram to band corporal, vice (i. Parr, who has resigned. Three now members were proposed, and a ballot for their election will bo taken at next drill.
