TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, CAMBRIDGE.
Two annual meeting of tho members of tlio above Church was held mi Wednesday evening. Tho liov. \V. -Evans occupierl the chair, aiul after t.hu uiimites of tho pre.'ious meeting had been coulirtned, lilder J. Fisher read the sessional report which showed a slight increase in the number of Church members, it new being 10-. A special effort was made early m the year to pay off the deficiency of £2!) 10-i fid, left over from tho previous year, and met with very hearty response, which has enabled tho whole amount to he pud oft' without encroaching on the year's ordinary revenue. The subscriptions and donations amount to £127 1-ls (id, being £29 lis (id more, than in LS.S7. The collections amount to £105 os S:l, being £1 IDs Id less than in the ptevious yeal'. The nett proceeds of the annual soiree held in November were £21 17s-td. Tin; expenditure has been about the same as in ISS7. Tho Managers have coin].leted some little repairs to the Cnurch, and as the roof of the building will require re shingling before long, they recommend an early effort to laisa the nece.sary fnnds to pay for the W'ik. The committee have communicated with the mortgagers of the nian.-e property and obtained a reduction in tho rate of interest. During the year Mr Armishaw ha« presided at tho in a very oificieut manner. 13y his ell'orts to improve the psalmody of the, Church, ho has earned tho hearty thanks of the congregation. In consequence of tho fading off of the revenue, it has been found necessary to discontinue the organist's salary after tho end of .December. Several ladies have proini-ed to shortly undertake the woik. Tho Committee regret that the. number of members of the clioir is so low, and earnestly appeal to tho members of the congregation with musical ability to assist in pronnting that portion of the services. The election of officers for t'no ensuing year followed, the result being as follows : — Committee of Management : Cambridge town, Messrs J. Ferguson, >1. McMillan, Ciles Kceley, and ■!. Cameron; suburbs, (j. Young and A. Bailey; Hatitapu, J. Dvken and T, Brown ; l'ukeiimu, A. Wallace and <1. Anderson; Tanwhaio, T. Ilussell. Psalmody Committee : Messrs F. ,J. Brooks, J. Ferguson, and I!. W. Sargent ; treasurer, Mr K. J. Btook* ; secretary, Mr K. \V. Sargent. On tho motion of Klder Rhode---, sec .nded by Mr J. Ferguson, a- special vote of thanks was accorded to I lie treasurer (Mr Brooks) and secretary (Mr for their labours during the past year. Votes of thanks were also passed to tho outgoing committee, to the school eonim ittcos of Jlaiitapn and Tamvhuio for tho msg oT their respective buildings, and to the Wesleyan body for tho use of l*nkcriniu Oliapel. On Sunday overling Miss Anderson, daiitfU'cr «>f Mr J. Anderson, of J'ukonniu, presided at the iu a moat efficient manner.
