KAWHIA.
Native Land Court.—The Native Land Court ripened here on Wednesday Jast, Judge Mair presiding. Owing , tn some mistake in publishing the notice in tlie Gazette for the (ith of February, but few natives were present, mine of the Nagatimaniaputi; claimants putting in an appearance. The Court adjourned until to-day (28th January), when tlie business of the Court will commence. The road from Alexandra to Kawhia is just now in pretty good condition, but there is plenty of dust even in going through the bush. Judge Mair and some of the officials drovo over in a waggon without any difficulty whatever, several other persons havo also driven over lately, including Mr ]<:. B. Walker of Cambridge. The interpreter of the Court, Mr (I. T. Wilkinson, was driven over yesterday in a buggy by Mr T. Finch.
