Tuk.rk is said to exist in Montrouge a phenomenon in the shape of a young girl of the name of Taulin, aged only 17, who weighs upward of 210 kilos (,>3st. She measures 2 metres 50 centimetres round the bust, and 1 metre 90 centimetres round tlie hips, the diameter of her arm being 90 centimetres. Notwithstanding these enormous proportions, Mdle. Tau iin is in no way deformed, but on tiie contrary, of agreeable appcarauce. Her physiognomy is pleasing ; she has fine eyes, a small mouth, and feet and hands that do not exceed the ordinary
size. Unlnppl), however, she cannot move without assistance, being utterly powerless in the limbs and scarcely able to ure her hands. Her parents, working people in needy eirciurutaiioes, have three other children, about;none of whom there is anything abnormal.
