The market is at the moment rattier lightly stocked with New Zealand cheese, hut shipments are now expected shortly. Today's quotation stands at .S.VI for best quality loaf. —Wheat, (free) : Extreme stagnation has characterized this market. There have been rio transactions of any magnitude in New Zealand wheat since last writing. In tlie absence of transactions, quotations are merely nominal, say 4s .10(1 to 5-; for Tuscan, Hunter's White proportionally lower. —Oats (free): But little change has taken place in this market since last writing, beyond tho fact that quotations are if anything slightly easier. Large supplies still continue to come forward from New Zealand despito the fact that lale reports advise an almost, bare market th'Te. At the moment we qulood few! oats, from 3- (id to t< : ruling up to 4- 3 I ; but b'.iiiie's ; is very restricted. — ['lit;.toes (ire.-.): Since the New Year, owing to the exceedingly .-hurt supplier avail able, pric-s advanced to as high as £2-1 p»r ton—in fact the demand was so far in cxee-s of the ,-.u;.piy that almost any figure could have been obtained at the moment. Prices, however, have since somewhat. A eon-ignment of about 4-.0 sacks arrived from New Zealand by tho '' Ringa rooma " this week, but their condition was very bad on arrival. Supplies will bo coming in from Victoria next week, and we anticipate that prices will then recedo to more normal figures. LONDON MARKETS. (by El.KCntll! TEl.EOJtArll— COPVIUGHT.)
