It is reported that Prince Bismarck expressed the opinion that the diary of Emperor Frederick was exploited and the facts distorted by foes of the Empire and himself personally. He also asserts that the proclamation of Emperor Frederick issued on his accession to the throne was written by Professor Geffeken in 1885, when the late Emperor William iras supposed to be in a critical condition.
