LARNEY'S ANTHELMINTIC.

The preparation of Larney's Anthelmintic is at present a local industry of modest proportions, but we hope soon to see it in much more general use. We quote the following paragraph from the Herald ot January 3, and scarcely think any higher testimony than this is required to induce flock owners to give it a trial Our Morrinsville correspondent writes : Shearing operations in this district are just concluded, and the results have been very satisfactory, both as regards quantity and quality of the wool. Now, when wool and mutton havo received an upward impetus, sheopowncrs can afford to pay a little extra care and attention to their flocks. I was shown a letter from a settler, stating the important fact that having drenched a poi tion of his hoggets early in the winter with a preparation called Larney's "Anthelmintic." the portion so dosed when shorn cut over four and a,-half pounds wool more than the undrenched portion, the record being 71b. to 7-jlb. undrenched, and 11Ib to 121b. for the portion dosed with the "Anthelmintic." The sheep when drenched could be held up by one hand, but at shearing time were fully lOib. per head in better condition than their neighbours. This is an important fact to sheepowners, as the medicine costs less than Id a dose, and fully justifies the, claims made for it by the maker, that it will improve tho sheep 51b. per quarter, and the wool in a corresponding ratio.
