The Sunday school children accompanied by thoir friends and other mambers of the congregation, started from (Jambridge about 9 o'clock in waggons and oilier vehicles (kindly lent fur the occasion,) to enjoy a must pleasant drive of about 7 miles and then settled down for the day's pleasures under the shade of the bush. The whole was an immense success, fur, although the Baptist picnics have always been regarded as of the first order, this year's was in advance of all former ones. The ladies did their share of the work in providing the " necessaries of life" in a most commendable manner. Each deserves the thanks oI her neighbour, for each sought his neighbours'comlort iu all tilings. JJu.ing this afternoon many of the friends ascended the hills .to view tho landscape w Inch ir very extensive and beautiful. At the close everyone returned home the happier—although tired— for the outing.
