Whereas certain lands on the Waitete Section of the North Island Main Trunk Railway have been taken for public ■works, under " Tim Public Works Act, 3882," and its amendments, by proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd day of November, 188 S. Now, therefore, I, Thomas William Hislop, the Minister acting for the Minister for Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do liereby appoint the Public Works Office at Wellington to be the p üblic office at which persons having any estate or interest in any lands taken as aforesaid, or injuriously aft'ected by the said proclamation, or suffering any damage in respect of such lands from the exorcise of the powers given under the said Acts shall serve their claims, pursuant to " The Public Works Act, 1582," and its amendments.
