SUAKIM

[By Emiotiuo Telegraph.—CorTßionT.] Suakim, December 22. Ten of the allies were killed and eighty wounded in tho battle on Thursday morning. Large quantities of the enemy's ammunition were captured. Osman Digna has reinforced Handoub, London, December 22. The War Office will hold a searching enquiry into the statement that some of the weapons used by the British troops in the recent fight outside Suakim were defective, with a view to discovering by whom such weapons were supplied. The reported failure of the swords of the Hussars has given rise to a fear that the quality of the weapons supplied to the cavalry generally may be inferior.
