PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.

A MEETING of tlio Trustees was held *t the Vuko'iniu School House on Tuesday, 18th December. Present: Mr J. Gane, Chairman), Messrs Kusabs, Wallace, Fisher, and E. Allen. The minute* of the previous meeting wero read and confirmed.

CoRKKsrONDKXCE.—Re the proposed Publie Works Act Amendment Act, to eradicate furze. The opinion of the Trustees was that it would not bo advisable to have them passed, as proposed, being too stringent. Lettflrs were recened and vead froin the following, askintr that ccrta'n works ehould be clone, viz.Repairing road into Bukowsky'a property, from Messrs Johns and Looke, asking that a part of Tennysonstreet be formed ; from Messrs Chitty and Coopor, asking that a portion of Addisonstreot be formed ; from Caley Brothers, asking that tho road near their property be gravelled ; from Mr T. G. Sandea, re preparing plans of deviation of road; from Mr Sturgea, drawing the Trustees' attention to the spread of tho Canadian Thistle on adjoining property, and asking them to take steps to get thejowner or occupier to eradicate the pest. Tenders. —It was resolved that tenders be invited for required works. The Trustee* will meet at Cambridge on Saturday, 29th inst., to receive and open the various works. Accounts.—Accounts were received and passed for payment amounting to £17 lis lOd. Satisfactory.—The Board was very much pleased with the way in which the Engineer to the County had carried out tho formation of the road in the last contract near Cogan's (Hill.
