The Waikato Times Office, Monday. AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. Mil Ai.kx. Aitkhn's Market Kei'okt. —Large ninmint of business (tone in nil lines. Poultry, fruit, farm and dairy produce of nil kinds in very heavy supply, and demand lias been good. Potatoes in very heavy supply, and all cleared at and above last week's prices. Much more could hat e been quitted, and the tendency is upward. Onions show no improvement, and tho supply is heavy. Chaff is extremely dull and difficult to quit. Grain of all kinds, bran and sharps, are easier. Vegetables sold well. Butter, fresh, sold fairly well ; large quantity to hand. Salt butter is in heavy supply, and there is a heavy decline in value; a few small parcels were privately placed on Monday at (Ud to Old, but on Tuesday a large quantity was offered at auction, and offers were low, consequently none was sold. All of it has been held over for a higher figure. Makers will do well to hold back for the present where, quality is first-class, but doubtful kinds should be disposed of at once. llgfis are in large supply, and the avorage price better. Bacon and hams in heavy supply, and good found ready sale; inferior hard to quit. Honey is dull. Poultry was in very heavy supply. Old fowls were low ; young roosters sold very high. Upwards of 200 geese and 220 turkeys were entered. The total supply, including all sorts, was over 3000 head. Pigs m small supply ; 52 were entered, but none really choice. Fruit in very large supply; 307 cases at Friday's sale. Prices were very satisfactory. Some plums were packed in cases far too heavy, and were, poor in condition.
