R.M. COURT, TE AWAMUTU.

(Before Captain Jackson, R.M.) SoMKdebt cases were disposed of, the only one of any interest being Delaney v. Chapman. An adjournment was applied for by Mr Hay for plaintiff by letter but opposed by Mr Gresham who claimed judgment for defendant. The magistrate granted the application but decided to hear defendant's ovidenco as he came from Taupiri. Defendant disputed tho amount of the account, and stated that all the items were for liquor and that he had not been a boarder in plaintiff's hotel. The case will be adjudicated on next Court day. Defendant said the correct account was £1 18s, the balance being an overcharge. Chkkse Company v. H. Lewis. —Arrears of calls and interest. Defendant applied for an adjournment till next Court day, which was granted. Mr Walton, secretary for the Company, stated that he might not be here, then, so the Court decided upon hearing hiti evidence. Ho put in the finxettn with the notice of liquidation and other necessary papers to prove the claim and interest, tho latter being disputed.
