A rebel redoubt outside this town has been dostroj'ed. Two thousand men aro now assisting in the defence of the tronches, and General Grenfcll expresses himself confident of success. London", December 10. Great Britain will probably embark in a war in defence of Upper Egypt, which -would probably result in the recapture of tlio Soudan. General Grenfell telegraphs that the enemy are more numerous than over, and eager to fight. Orders have been sent to Cairo to forward strong reinforcements to Suakim at once from troops oil tlio Mediterranean stations.
