HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY.
There was a very good muster of the above company at the commanding officer's inspection parade on Thursday evening, and the various movements practiced were done in a clear, smart style. Captain Reid, at the conclusion of the drill, read a telegram from Colonel Shepherd, announcing that Colonel Hume would inspect the company on the arrival of the train on Tuesday, the 18th inst. A drill has, therefore, been ordered for that date at 2 o'clock sharp. After inspection the company will be marched to the butts, where volley and independent firing will be gone through. All volunteers should make a supremo effort to be present on this oecasion v To-day the members of the com-' pany will be supplied with ammunition for practice for volley and independent firing. ______________
