Court to-day Andrew Jauesen, who wag summoned for allowing hi 3 cattle to trespass on tho railway line pleaded not guilty, Mr Mcßoy, this solicitor for the rlefenee, submitted that as the railway line is not fenced in on either side tho information disclosed no offence chargeable under the Public Works Act, and further that the mere passing of cattle across the line could not be termed an obstruction. The R.M. upheld both objections and dismissed the information- „ ~ HAWERA, Friday. The annual show of the Egmont Agricultural and Pastoral Association was a decided success. The weather was splendid and the attendance good. The exhibits were fairly numerous. WELLINGTON, Friday. Up to date 130 tons of wheat have been sent by rail from Wairarapa to Wellington for export. It is the first time in the history of the valley that wheat has been sent away. The first ordinary general meeting ot the shareholders in the New Zealand Shipping Company to be held in London, under the iiew regulations has been fixed for ISth December. WAIPAWA, Friday.
