Now potatoes, round kinds, show a lUoof liOs per ton; kidneys show a rise of from £2 to £3 per ton ; old lines remain linn, but in little demand. Onions, linn, drain nf all kinds, also cliatF and hay, have advanced considerably in valnn, owing to the heavy rise in food. Poultry is owning forward in unusually large mnnbers ; the total number entered for Friday's sale was l<lß3 held all told. I'igs in increased numbers; prices still Ineli for good kinds ; inferior l< .s low. Mutter, both fresh and salt, in f ,ir supply; advance of L'd to 3d per lb. of all kinds. J'Vjjs, in large supply; considerable rise in value. Bacon and hams came forward in very largo quantities; pood found quick sale at advanced values, but inferior was hard to quit. Cheese, in large supply ; but little left on hand ; prices are very (inn, with an upward tendency. Gooseberries were in smaller supply, considerable rise in price; but little other fruit to. hand. Vegetables in very short supply. The sale of island fruit advertised for Thursday was unavoidably postponed, owing to the shipment being a particularly heavy one. This sale will be held on Monday. The sale of furniture at Carlton, Gore Road, was very successful.
