Intercolonial Contest.!
(By Electric Tkleoraph—Copyright.) StnsEr, December 1. The intercolonial amateur champion fouroared outrigger race was rowed on the Parramatta Rivor this afternoon. The competing crews were Victoria, New Smith Wale*, Tasmania and Now Zealand. The New Zealand (Canterbury) crew drew the outside position, in which they had wind and tide in their favour. The New Zealanders stubbornly fought Victoria for first place. They rowed in fine style, and got within a length of the leaders, but the others were unable to makb any progress. Victoria maintained the lead to the finish, winning with apparent ease by two lengths from the Canterbury crew, New South Wales third, six lengths behind the New Zealanders, Tasmania a qmtrter of a length from New South Wales.
